If you are not comfortablw with crop-top go for short plain kurtis. Blue will contrast well with this. Sleeveless, a little fitted royal blue kurti will look great. N do wear a jhumka :D

I have got a similar skirt from Global desi, and i styled it using a silk crop top.. Since your palazzos have a ethnic touch to it, try wearing silk, satin crop tops. You can pair a dupatta as well...

I think a slightly longer (little below the waist)black or white/cream kurta will work great. the accessories are very important. I think if you could keep the kurta/top simple you can do chunky...
